Club Mascot

Sammy Squire the squirrel is our club mascot. At Creative Communicators we strive to win our squirrel trophies for "Best Listener", "Best Table Topic Master", and "Best Speaker" by staying on topic and not getting distracted during our speaking presentations.

Club President

Susan was elected Sgt. At Arms for the 2017 to 2022. She has served as VP Education and now serves as President for the 2024/2025 year.

Vice President Education

Peter Simister is an Architectural Advisor to the House of Commons. Peter is a specialist in Sustainable Design and Heritage Conservation. Peter joined Creative Communicators in 2012 and has served on the executive as VP Education, President, Past President and two terms as VP Public Relations. 

Treasurer and Secretary

I switched tracks from IT to design because I love to make beautiful spaces and things as much as to solve problems. I love words, books, reading, and writing. I’m fascinated by how we create artifacts and stories, how we think and feel, our varying cultures, and how the universe works. 

Immediate Past Vice President Membership

Born in Montreal, Adrian earned her BFA in Toronto and her MFA in Vancouver. She left a job as graphic artist in Toronto and moved to rural eastern Ontario to began painting & exhibiting her work in galleries while raising her 3 children. She also does commissioned portraits and teaches adult art classes. Adrian's work has been exhibited in solo and juried shows nationally and internationally, and has been featured in several international magazines. She was also selected as Artist-in-Residence at the Bermuda Masterworks Museum. Adrian has received several government commissions to create public art installations in Ottawa.

Padma is an experienced and enthusiastic professional employed in an Architecture Design firm. Padma joined Creative Communicators in 2017, exploring and developing her leadership skills. Padma served in the executive team as the Sargent at Arms, Secretary and as the President.

Charter member of our club. Penny has been an Professional Interior Designer for over 30 years. She is currently consulting part time; and, getting involved with her concern for the environment or making bread... depending on her mood.
